God’s Great Desire

For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings” (Hosea 6:6).

Do you know what God wants from you more than anything?

Your heart.

Hosea 6:6 tells us, “For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.”

  • More than a checklist of good deeds, God wants  your heart.
  • More than an outward appearance of doing all the “right things,” God longs for the inward change of a renewed heart.
  • Even the knowledge He desires is an experiential knowledge. He desires heart-knowledge, not simply head-knowledge.

Yes, my friend—God longs for you to accept His love and love Him in return, with all your heart, all your mind and all your soul and all your strength (Mark 12:30).

Until next time,

Shelby
