“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; hold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Our faith as Christians isn’t an external belief—it is a new identity. It is a change that is wrought from the inside out.
The moment we place our faith in trust in Jesus, we are a new creation. It is an instant change from spiritual death to spiritual life, followed by a lifelong transformation as we become more like Christ.
So those mistakes of our past (as well as our present)? They are forgiven (Colossians 2:13-14).
That hole in our heart? It’s being healed (Psalm 147:3).
The hope that we need? It flows from Jesus (1 Peter 1:3-5).
The purpose we long for? It was crafted by God, just for us, before we were even born (Psalm 139:16).
Praise God we are not who we used to be. We have not yet become all we were created to be—that process won’t be complete until we sit with our Savior in eternity. But we are “becoming.”
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; hold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Until next time,
Shelby
