Remember God’s Greatness

A Prayer

(Isaiah 40:28 inspired)

Are you feeling small today?

Are you facing big things—things that simply feel too big for you?

My prayer for you today is that you are reminded anew of the greatness of God—of just how big He is.  He’s got this. And He’s got you.

Father,

I pray for myself, and I pray for my friends.  Remind us of your greatness.  Have you not shown us through your Son that You’ve defeated even Satan and death?  Have we not known in our hearts Your overwhelming love and seen in our lives Your unfailing provision?

Oh, Father, You were before time and are forever more!  Everything around us You both created and sustain.  We grow tired in our struggles, and at times our faith grows weak in our distress.  But Your strength never fails, and the very power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us thanks to the immeasurable gift of Your Holy Spirit.

Your ways are higher and greater that our finite minds can ever understand. And I am thankful—for that means that You are God, and I am not.  You are our loving, limitless God, and in the shadow of Your wings we take shelter. In Jesus name, amen.

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable” (Isaiah 40:28).

Until next time,

Shelby
