“I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue” (Exodus 4:10).

Sometimes being a quiet person in a noisy world can make us feel like outsiders. Sometimes we even feel that way in the church. Have you ever felt like you were too small, or “not enough,” to be used by God?
Nothing could be farther from the truth. Let’s turn to the Bible for proof.
Moses was one of the most influential figures in Israel’s history. Yet Moses was convinced he was unworthy, even incapable, of achieving what God called him to do. In Exodus 3 and 4, we see Moses speaking to God Himself in a burning bush, and still Moses begs, “Oh, my Lord, please send someone else” (Exodus 4:13). Moses explained, “I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue” (Exodus 4:10).
But do you know what God did? He used Moses anyway.
Because it is not about what we bring to God, dear friend. It is about what God brings to us—the places where He invites us into His work. In God’s upside-down kingdom, He often uses the small and unexpected to do great things. Because by doing extraordinary things through the most ordinary of people, God is glorified.
Until next time,
Shelby
