Can God Really Use Someone Like Me?

For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong” (1 Corinthians 1:26-27).

In the Bible God used:

  • a prostitute (Joshua 2; Joshua 6:25)
  • a speech-impaired shepherd (Exodus 4:10)
  • a donkey (Numbers 22:26-35)
  • a rebellious, hardened heart (Galatians 1:13-15)
  • uneducated fishermen (Matthew 4:18-22)
  • a child (John 6:9-13)
  • a demon-possessed woman (Luke 8:1-2)
  • an immoral, outcast woman (John 4:7-30; John 4:39))

Oh, friend, do you see?  He used them; surely He can use us, too.

Whatever is holding you back, let it go. Give it to God. See what amazing things He has in store for you!

Until next time,

Shelby
