“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
I am not who I once was. But I am more myself than ever before.
How can that be?
Our culture tends to emphasize how our life experiences shape and change us. And certainly they can and do. But when we place those experiences in the hands of our loving, limitless God, we place Him in charge of the shaping and changing. And He promises to do something good, something beautiful, with all of it.
He doesn’t promise everything will be good. But for our good He will change us from the inside out. He will grow in us the Spirit of Christ. And in becoming more like Him, we become more of who we were always created to be!
