My Only Offering

Romans 12:1 inspired

In Your mercy, God,

You saved me.

In Your mercy, God,

You sustain me.

My heart overflows

with gratitude 

and my soul 

wells up with love.

But what have I 

to offer You?

What gift, what service,

what part of myself,

that could possibly

express my worship?

Only myself.

I have only myself 

to offer to You, oh, God.

Small, though I am,

this is all you require.

This is my act of worship.

This is my act of praise.

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship” (Romans 12:1)
