“Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’” — 2 Corinthians 12:8–10

I understand Paul more than I used to.
I spent years asking God to change my circumstances—
to calm the chaos,
to fix what felt broken.
But He didn’t.
At least… not in the way I expected.
Because while everything around me seemed the same,
something within me was being completely rewritten.
God, in His wisdom, knew exactly what it would take
to loosen my grip on false security,
to tear down the idols of comfort and control,
to reshape my faith into something deeper—
something steady, rooted, and real.
No, He doesn’t always change our circumstances.
In His mercy,
He does something better.
He changes us.
Until next time,
Shelby
