“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13).
My soul may be simple
and my life common,
but that’s quite all right.
Because when people encounter me,
when they talk with me,
when they read my words,
when they consider my life …
I really just want them to see Jesus.
Father, I want to spend so much time in Your presence that I start to become like You. Let my words be Your words, and my thoughts Your thoughts. Let me love like You love. And may you be glorified in every simple moment of my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
