- “You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance” (Psalm 32:7).
God is the secret place for our souls that the world cannot touch, eternally secure once we have been hidden in Christ (Colossians 3:3).
- “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its water roar an foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling” (Psalm 46:1-3).
The fears and trials of this world are big. But our God is bigger.
- For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).
No matter what we face, no matter how bad it gets, He’ll simply never let us go.
So when life feels vulnerable and anxiety rages, remember: God does not promise no trouble will come our way. But He does promise to be with us through it all.
Until next time,
Shelby
