“For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery” (Galatians 5:1).
The world’s idea of freedom is freedom TO.
But only Jesus can offer us freedom FROM.
In Jesus:
We are free from sin, guilt, and shame.
We are free from the fear of death and what lies beyond.
We are free from wondering who we are in the here and now, constantly seeking to establish our identity.
We are free from earning acceptance and striving to reach the unattainable bar of “good enough.”
And when we are free FROM those things, we are finally free TO BE who we were created to be.
Oh, friend, when we submit to Christ, it is for freedom he sets us free.
