Anchor #3: God’s Daily Provision

“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” (Lamentations 3:21-23).

Have you ever wondered how you would face your greatest fears in life? Your “even if” moments?

What if your family falls apart?

What if your finances fail, and you lose your home?

What if you something happens to your parent, or spouse, or child?

How would you get through?

Friend, God knows what you need to make it through each day. And, one day at a time, He pours out the strength and grace and provision you need. And then He does it again the next day. And the next. Until one day you realize that by His strength you have made it through what you doubted you ever could.

It’s like the manna He provided to the Israelites in the desert. When they needed a double portion to also see them through the Sabbath, that is what He provided. What they needed, when they needed it. New provision every morning.

So whatever you are facing, you can awaken each morning knowing that God’s strength never runs out. His well of grace never runs dry. And His love never lessens or waivers. He awaits you each and every morning with a fresh supply for your soul.

Here are some of my favorite verses about God’s daily, unlimited provision:

Isaiah 40:30-31:  ”Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Matthew 6:26:  “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

Psalm 145:15-16:  “The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.”

What other verses about God’s provision can we share to encourage one another?

Until next time,

Shelby
